Everygirl’s world has become a maze of phrases! Here’s a continually updating glossary of phrases commonly used on campus and by Everygirl.
A Cap. shortened version of a capella, as in the a capella choir.
M. shortened version of Everygirl’s best friend.
milk. the general college term for beer.
Music Cluster. a trio of fine arts buildings where all the music classes are held.
non-mu-ed. 1. non-music education majors. 2. one of two types of people in Vocalocity.
off-on-campus. 1. the ends of the Earth, where no one wants to go. 2. where the music buildings are (see Music Cluster).
studio. where the drafting tables are and where drafting studies courses are taught.
studying. 1. when done in a group of two or more people of the same gender, gossiping. 2. when done in a pair of one guy and one girl, making out.
take-homes. exams that are taken home and turned in as an assignment.
U, the. 1. the student union. 2. where everyone goes when they’re bored. 3. the only place on campus with semi-respectable food. 4. the building where the bookstore and its affiliated convenience store are located.
u-card. school ID that also functions as library card, debit card, and access card.
Vocalocity. the vocal ensemble Evergirl belongs to.
